Ground Worm shaft

Worm gears (or wormwheel gears) and worms (or worm drives) are made to interact to transfer motion between non-intersecting shaft at right angles. Worm gears and worms, which resemble spur gears and screws, respectively, combine to supply a high decrease ratio in a compact gear system.
